Construction is moving ahead for the $1.8 billion Terminal Redevelopment Project that is scheduled for completion in 2020. Cicada helped HOK develop the visual narrative of this massive project, which included a two-mile-long terminal, several new buildings, and a multi-tiered landscape of roads and walkways.

“Complex is the word that comes to mind,” says Jon Neilon, senior member of the Cicada team who was in charge of video production and the creation of stills. “Not only did we work with a large group of consultants, the scale was vast, and many of the design elements, including the wayfinding system, were intricate.”

Ralph Becker, Mayor of Salt Lake City, used the videos and stills produced by Cicada at the recent unveiling of the new design. The official groundbreaking took place in July 2014.
