Lakeview Village Inspiration Point

future vision of waterfront community is featured through images, video and interactive media, all part of continued design communications and social engagement.

Led by the Lakeview Community Partners team, Lakeview Village will be a premiere lakefront community on the former Lakeview Generating Station Lands in Mississauga, Ontario.

Cicada’s media production has played a central role in communicating the visionary plan for the site while telling the various stories of how residents, businesses, institutions and visitors can be part of Lakeview in the coming years.

Community Interaction

Cicada's digital imagery and animation became a central feature in public engagement sessions, used on screen, print, web and social media to excite the community about the possibilities for the Lakeview site. In turn this encouraged feedback to assist the design team in refining the plan to best suit the future residents and visitors.

Lakeview Village Website

Cicada designed and developed a website to showcase the development, while combining multiple forms of visual content, including renderings, video, and interactive content.

The website acts as a point to engage the community, not only by describing the project vision, but further by allowing visitors to explore the content interactively,  as well as provide feedback to the developers and design team.

The Lakeview Village website equally acts as a hub for social engagement and constant communication with the local community and greater region.

Animating the Plan

A motion graphic animation of the proposed plan guides viewers through the overall structure of Lakeview Village and the key locations that demonstrate it's design as a complete community.

High resolution rendered images were developed for a range of uses, including web, brochures, social engagements and super-graphic prints, giving viewers an immediate understanding of the scale and ambitions of the development's design.

From the Lake to the Sky

A helicopter photo shoot was conducted by Cicada to capture multiple vantages of the future site of Lakeview Village.

The photographs became the backdrops for composite renderings to best show how the new community will be part of it’s site and context.
